Very nice location : beautiful landscape from the restaurant. BUT : minimum service assured. Noisy room during the night : impossible during 1h to join the personnel, night assistance not working. We had a cheaper room for the rest of the night, ok. Next morning, the staff was fully dedicated to a wedding scheduled for the weekend. They clearly did not care about us. Impossible to speak to a manager. Their priority was crystal clear : the wedding and never mind the others customers. We were expecting a 3 star hotel service. We had a hostel one.
If it were not for the stunning location this hotel likely would not survive...
Service is mediocre at best, the rooms are way overpriced with dirty curtains, broken blinds and balcony rails that definitely do not meet safety standards.
We tried the restaurant for dinner once and can only suggest to try Funivia 1 mile up the road instead. Not only is it cheaper but the quality of the food and service is way superior.
Bottom line: if you come for the location, view, biking, hiking etc. this place is a brilliant choice. If you expect a nice hotel with reasonable *** standard you may want to look somewhere else for more value for your money and take a day trip up Monte San Giorgio instead

A very nice hotel in the middle of the forest. The complex is elevated on the edge of the forest and offers a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains all around.
The terrace is beautiful and offers several places to sit and enjoy the breathtaking view. The hotel also includes a spa, with sauna, swimming pool, gym and jacuzzi. However, this is closed, which is the reason why there is a point deduction and "only" four stars.
The restaurant offers a decent selection of dishes that are deliciously cooked. The breakfast is also tasty, but a larger selection such as bacon, scrambled eggs, etc., would enhance the buffet even more.
The complex offers plenty of parking spaces, so arriving by car is no problem. Motorcyclists can certainly be accommodated well here and enjoy the many mountain roads on beautiful tours.
All in all, a very nice, clean hotel.
Recommendable!
the Hotel is very avarage and very expensiv, the Staff are rude( they never say Hello back) they charge extra cost by check out without any rational background. For exampe i stayed on Freiday but must pay 20 Fr. more beacause Thuesday was national Holiday!!!! and extra 20 Fr because of weekend. They basically steal your money
I wish I could stay here forever.
What a charming, old-school Swiss hotel. Beautifully situated above Lake Lugano with magnificent views, this is a jewel. There is a wonderful outdoor patio with magnificent views, an amazing indoor swimming pool and spa and walking/hiking opportunities. I stayed for a night while on a hotel-to-hotel hiking trip and would have happily remained for a week (or month).
Visited in October 2021 for 1 night. The swimming pool is great, the view over lake Lugano is stunning. Good breakfast and friendly staff at reception. I recommend for short trips.
Somehow a special place. The hotel itself is a bit dated, it feels like a step back in time. But it is clean, not too expensive, staff is super friendly and best of all the location is simply amazing. Real peace and quiet at the end of …
The creative decor and the beautiful ambiance and the view from my room was awesome
And the staff were very warm and friendly .The manager Linda was very helpful.
